Blanche Nettles Powers is a Georgia-based artist whose practice spans painting, assemblage, and installation, engaging material systems through repetition, accumulation, and transformation. Informed by fractal patterns found in natural environments and the material sensibilities of Dansaekhwa, her work considers the tension between organic processes and imposed structure.
Nettles Powers has presented solo exhibitions at Laney Contemporary in Savannah, Kim Foster Gallery in New York, and the Savannah College of Art and Design. She has participated in residencies at MASS MoCA, Vermont Studio Center, and SCAD’s New York Studio Workspace and has been selected for the inaugural Ossabaw Island Residency. She has received fellowships from the Jentel Foundation and Anderson Ranch Arts Center and completed commissions for Mercedes-Benz Stadium and SCAD. She holds an MFA in painting from SCAD.
